  I just switched to RITE AID It's a huge difference, after having multiple issues with two Wal-Mart's, CVS, & East Cooper Family Pharmacy. My medication is a pain medication which is hard to find and often I've been treated poorly. The pharmacist at Rite Aid treated me respectfully and made sure to fill my medication on the 30th day rather than the 31st day. I definitely appreciate the change treatment and the punctuality.

  This is probably one of the worst pharmacies I have EVER used! I have had issues getting my prescriptions to go out of town even when my doctor called. I go out of town maybe 4 times a year and they know this. They said they have had multiple slaps from DHEC so they can't make any exceptions for anyone no matter who they are! I have been using them for years. I haven't had any issues up until about 6-8 months ago. They lost the only employee and manager at that store that was caring and nice. He went somewhere else. Go figure! The people who are left and who they have now are very rude and inconsiderate. So much so that even though I have been using them for over 3 years I am going to switch. I have never had anyone try and make me feel the way I have been made to feel there. You should be able to have an open and honest relationship with your pharmacy. You should also be able to trust your pharmacy. That's not the case so much with them. My doctor puts the issues off on the pharmacy and the pharmacy puts responsibility off on the doctor. So much so that me as the patient gets VERY LITTLE assistance. I have multiple life threatening health issues that require multiple meds. So much so that I may have to go on disability at 35 years old. So I need a pharmacy that I can have a relationship with who is willing to help me, explain things to me, be patient with me, and most of all be kind to me. Treat me like I'm a human being and an adult not a child whom doesn't understand things. It sucks when you leave your pharmacy in tears because of the way they just made you feel. In fact, actually laughed and joked about how annoying you were as soon as you walked away from the counter. I was still close enough to hear them. Totally unprofessional and immature on their part. I am in the process of finding a new pharmacy!!! I would not recommend this pharmacy if they were the last one on the planet. I would rather suffer than to put up with what I have been dealing with. Laughing at me was the last and final straw. DO NOT go here. Drive 20 miles out of your way if you have to but DO NOT go to this pharmacy.
